Ronnie O’Sullivan, the “Rocket,” 7-time world champion, holding records for 15 maximum breaks and 1,200-century breaks in professional competition, including the fastest maximum break, visits the Saudi Arabia Federation Academy.

Following an invitation from the president of the Saudi Billiards and Snooker Federation, Dr. Nasser Al-Shammari, today Ronnie O’Sullivan visits the Saudi Arabian Billiards Federation Academy in the Yarmouk neighborhood of Riyadh. The international celebrity was greeted and given a tour of the academy’s facilities by Mr. Abdulaziz Al Thani who serves as both the head of the technical committee and a member of the board of directors. O’Sullivan, the 7-time world champion, is also one of the world’s fastest players in history and definitely the most talented Cue Sports has ever seen.

An official Saudi snooker team T-shirt was given as a souvenir to the British celebrity. Dinner was served at the end of the visit, and it was Ronnie’s first experience with Saudi cuisine.
British star Ronnie O’Sullivan thanked the management of the Saudi Billiards and Snooker Federation, headed by Dr. Nasser Al-Shammari for this invitation and this hospitality.

I am very pleased to be in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to participate in the first edition of the Riyadh Snooker Season Championship. I liked the tools and equipment I saw at the Saudi Federation’s Academy,’ he said. ‘It helps produce champions in this game by giving coaches—male and female—all the tools they need to succeed and by offering a large number of cutting-edge tables. This presents a positive image of Saudi Arabia’s enthusiasm for this game, which I love, and this facility is regarded as one of the biggest and most advanced training facilities in the world.”
